Sweet 16 Oahu Photoshoot on Hickam Air Force Base
This amazing girl is celebrating her Sweet 16 birthday complete with a Haku Lei and all the things that matter most to her right now.
We started the session in her room because it not only has beautiful lighting but she has strings of feathers hanging behind her bed that I love. No young girls room is complete without several stuffed animals competing for space on the bed.
This one is her favorite.
She lives on Hikam and the canal is the place where she goes to think, journal, and read the Bible. Such a beautiful place to contemplate life.
As we were walking up to the hill there was a huge dead palm leaf hanging limp from the tree. Initially I was going to tear it down but as we got closer I realized that the leaf would add cool texture to the images.
Kaitlyn moved here from the mainland an immediately embraced the culture when she took up paddling for her high school team. She looks tiny but put her in a canoe and she becomes a strong and fierce competitor working well with her team.
