Mandy and I are both from the East Coast and both fell in love and married local Hawaii boys.   This is Mandy and Peter's second baby and this one is a boy.  I am pulling for a name that encompasses "Julie" but so far have been unsuccessful. 

Mandy chose this classic red dress for our photo shoot.  We decided to forego jewelry but as we were headed over to the cliff a hiker bent down and picked this purple flower for Mandy's hair.

We were anticipating a beautiful sunny day but the island had been drenched with rain recently and the storm clouds were gathering as we pulled up to our location.  We had about 20 minutes before the downpour started and we made the most of it.  The mountains were so lush and green because of the rain and the paths were deep muddy brown.  The lighting before the storm was just magical.         As we moved over to the normally dry dirt path, it was muddy and full of puddles but we just rolled with it.  It was symbolic of the road that all mothers are on.  You think it will be smooth and easy but in reality it is muddy and messy but so worth it.
